Augur Capital was using the WordPress platform for their website. The original developers had custom-built it to their requirements. However, the business owner struggled to manage his website, as any addition the company wanted to make took weeks to implement. They were a fast-paced company needing an easier solution.

The speed was also a concern. This negatively impacted the user experience and compromised how search engines crawled their site. Augur Capital planned to roll out industry and company news to their investors and potential clients. However, their CMS platform didn’t make this easy to implement.

We rebuilt the website using Webflow. Using Webflow for the design and development meant we could quickly build a fast and easy-to-navigate website. 

We champion Webflow over WordPress for speed. Functionally it has all you want for website management built in rather than relying on plug-ins for third-party apps, which WordPress relies on for customisation. 

Webflow uses visual design blocks, meaning you could get a unique customised feel without custom coding. This saves time in development and allows the website owner to make changes easily instead of waiting for a development team for weeks.

The video on the home page was a key element in the design – it was slow to load, which wasn’t the customer experience Augur Capital wanted for their clients. With speed in mind, building with Webflow provided Augur Capital with a faster, more responsive website allowing them to retain the video and drop the initial load down to 2.5 seconds.
